"Ginger anodyne clears the palate."
I don't know what this quote really means but, as I have understand, I think this quote can be applied to singers since ginger is a medicinal plant which helps soothe soar throats. Even singers, or cheer leaders who seemed lost their voices, can try drinking a concoction from boiled ginger.
